How we research

Official sources, seasonal checks, and physical maps

Our research starts with official agency bulletins, current seasonal alerts, and published trail and park maps. We check details such as closures, permit rules, and seasonal access against those sources before publishing, and we note the date each guide was last reviewed.

Where a detail could not be confirmed, we say so in the guide rather than filling the gap with an assumption. Placeholder notes mark any section still waiting on verified information.

Our standards

Three commitments behind every guide

01

Factual accuracy

We state only what we can support with an official or clearly cited source, and we correct published guides when conditions change.

02

Open affiliate disclosure

Affiliate links are labeled where they appear. A commercial relationship never changes what a guide says about a park, trail, or product.

03

Independent editorial choice

We do not invent first-person experiences, testimonials, rankings, or performance claims. Anything we have not verified is marked as a placeholder.
